We are a group of researchers investigating solid state quantum optics utilizing integrated photonics and robotics.

The group launches in January 2026 in Saarbrücken, and we are currently looking for students to join us in getting our first measurements done and our lab up and running.

Samuel Gyger.

Samuel Gyger is an Assistant Professor (W1 TT) at Saarland University. He received his B.Sc and M.Sc at ETH Zürich and his PhD from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He started ALPS in Saarbrücken in January 2026, after a Postdoc in the group of Amir Safavi-Naeini in Stanford.
